Coming Soon to National Public Radio

EMMA.jpg

In our upcoming episode of Poe Theatre on the Air, we’re doing something a bit different – a reading of Chapter One of the book “Emma,“ by Jane Austen.

You might be surprised to learn that Baltimore has among the largest Jane Austen appreciation societies in this hemisphere. The two writers each famously satirized society, and Austen even gently poked fun at the gothic writing genre in her work Northanger Abbey.

Our Baltimore theatre friends, Everyman Theatre, are producing a stage performance of Emma, running through June 14. Tickets can be found on the Everyman web site: EverymanTheatre.org

Please join us in supporting live theatre in Baltimore and around the world.

Watch this page for info on when Emma goes live. (Emma is read and produced by Alex Zavistovich. Poe Theatre in the Air theme by Gregg Martin.)
